16 BEST Music Festivals in Asia: 2026-2027 Guide

Whether you’re seeking festival fun while traveling long-term or looking to fly across the world for a one-time adventure… these are the best music festivals in Asia you don’t want to miss! I’ve compiled a list of 17 Asian music festivals in countries such as Japan, India, South Korea, and Thailand to inspire your next festival adventure. I haven’t been to all of them YET, but I’m working my way through!

From EDM and rock to hip-hop and indie, these festivals in Asia offer music tastes to suit every festival lover. Besides some internationally recognized names in music like Cardi B, Martin Garrix, and Imagine Dragons, these festivals are also an incredible way to get to know the local artists in the festival’s host country and expand your music taste.

Music Festivals in Asia

There are SO many incredible Asian music festivals, from the city to the desert to the dense jungle. Lots of these music festivals have the option for camping or perhaps staying in a hotel nearby, or even renting transport to get to more remote ones. Here are some of my very own helpful festival resources you might want to save for your journey, that I wrote from mny years of festival experience:

Wonderfruit (Thailand)

Where: The Fields at Siam Country Club

When: December

Wonderfruit is one of the best music festivals in Asia, embracing music, art, and culture throughout. Aside from the music, expect engaging installations, distinctive architecture, an incredible curated music lineup with some big names and other talented up-and-comers, some of the most uniwue and comprehensive food, workshop, yoga, and spiritual offerings, and art projects featuring international artists’ work.

Wonderfruit is truly a hidden gem in Thailand with plenty of informative seminars and interesting workshops to help guests learn and better themselves as well as enjoy the party.

Based just outside of Paataya, Thailand, the massive grounds include a range of spaces making it one of the best festival venues ever, such as multiple lakes, a beach, the Cheese Shack, the Solar Village, and the Ethos Pavilion. One of the best-known transformational music festivals in Asia, this has to be on anyone’s list who enjoys more spiritual festivals. See my list of more music festivals in Thailand here.

Wonderfuit also launched a smaller edition in Kyoto, Japan in October 2026 – let’s see if it becomes a regular thing!
