How cute is the interior of the rooms here? (booking.com)

The Commodore Hotel is one of the cutest boutique hotels in Astoria Oregon and it’s just a block from the Astoria Riverwalk. The best thing about staying here is the hotel offers a range of private rooms to fit any budget. The smallest spaces offer shared bathrooms, but these rooms are perfect for when you are traveling on a budget, and the hotel keeps them in great condition!

Regardless of the room, each blends clean and modern design with antique-ish furnishings and light fixtures. For an extra comfortable stay, book a suite and you’ll be set up with a bathtub, seating area, and work desk.

Bowline Hotel: Riverfront Hotel with Restaurant & River Views

Cuddled against the Columbia River between 8th and 10th Street, the Bowline Hotel is one of the most unique places to stay in Astoria Oregon for its interior, location, and amenities. Each room and suite is spacious, with modern design and creative industrial accents. I must say, this hotel is our favorite for a bit of a splurge but still within a reasonable price range!

The best part? Most rooms offer a soaking tub and river views! The hotel is home to a restaurant, ‘The Knot,’ and has saunas overlooking the river to sweat out your stresses. Yes, please!

If you visit from late Summer to early Spring, you’ll even get to meet the local sea lions! They often spend their time below the pier, so make sure to say hello from a distance. On the dock, you can enjoy riverside dining, and there’s sometimes even evening/nighttime entertainment. Not to worry, though, if you’d rather get to bed early, the hotel offers earplugs and white noise machines.

Norblad Hotel: Oldest Astoria Hotel

The Norblad is the best of unique hotels in Astoria for guests that want to be steps from the best eats and brews. Personally, ity’s my favorite for those who love a pop of color in their unique hotel!

But that’s not the best part about staying at this Oregon coast hotel. It’s the creativity put into each room that makes it stand out. There’s a variety of accommodations, from smaller ‘cabins’ to multi-room suites. However, one thing they all have in common is spaciousness and super creative art and decoration.

With only 33 rooms, the resorted Norblad prides itself on offering guests an unforgettable experience. When you’re not in your room, there’s also the common area where you can hang out, play chess, and wind down with complimentary tea.

Cannery Pier Hotel: Luxurious Lodging in Astoria with Spa

The Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa is one of the most luxurious hotels along the Oregon coast. Located along its own pier, each space offers the best views of any hotel in Astoria. The rooms are a charming escape with claw-foot bathtubs, seating areas, and large windows with stunning views of the Columbia River.

Aside from soaking in the tub, another way to treat yourself is to take a trip to the spa. And don’t worry—it’s on-site! So you can enjoy a deep-tissue massage, facial, or other treatments. In addition to an on-site spa, your stay at Cannery Pier Hotel includes complimentary homemade breakfast and a nightly $25 credit to their Bar 600 restaurant, which serves cocktails and seasonal oysters.

Trust us – if you are looking to indulge in a bit of luxury, this might be the choice for you!

The Wheelhouse on Pier 11: Large Guesthouse on the Water

amazing view ftom the The Wheelhouse on Pier 11 Boutique lodging in Astoria OR

If you’re seeking a private B&B to stay on the Oregon coast for the whole family, then the Wheelhouse on Pier 11 is just what you’ve been looking for. With the capacity to sleep six people, the Wheelhouse has two bedrooms, a living room, a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and a dining area. The sofa pulls out into a bed to serve as the third bed.

Aside from the space, another reason to book this place is the views! Seriously, the views don’t mess around, and there are massive windows to help you enjoy them. You can watch ships pass by all day and hear their fog horns sound through the air. The host even provides a telescope so you can peer up close to all the action on the river.

Clementine’s Guest House: Unique Astoria Stay in Old Victorian Home

Your loft awaits you! (booking.com)

Located a few blocks from Astoria’s Riverwalk on 8th Street, Clementine’s Guest House is one of the most unique places to stay in Astoria Oregon for its Victorian design and homey feel. With two buildings, you can choose between rooms and multi-room suites. Both have charming architecture and interior design that bring their Victorian roots into the present.

The first building offers a few rooms and a suite ideal for couples and small groups. The second, the Moose Lodge (built in 1852) is home to a loft and a suite. Each has a full kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathtub, great for family trips to Astoria.

Riverwalk Inn: Riverside Stay with Balconies in Every Room

The Riverwalk B&B is a boutique lodging in Astoria OR, with river views, breakfast, a fitness center, and rooms that ALL have balconies. Hard to beat that, huh? While not centrally located, being just along the riverwalk, it’s easy to catch public transit or drive a short 5 minutes to downtown Astoria. Plus, it has one of my favorite designs on this list.

The rooms offer lots of variety in size and decoration. If you’re on a budget, you can stick to the non-themed rooms. While the interior design is a bit bland, you nonetheless still have a balcony and river view! If you want something a bit more fun, opt for a themed room such as the one pictured above! There are also suites with kitchens and living room spaces for those who want more space and will stay longer.

Atomic Hotel: Fun 1950’s Themed Hotel

cute retro hotel room interior in Astoria Oregon at Atomic Hotel

If you’ve ever been eager to step into a time machine but have yet to actually find one, the Atomic Hotel can help you (a little, at least). The Atomic Hotel has to be one of the most unique places to stay in Astoria Oregon for its 1950s decor, including the furniture and artwork. The lobby is chock full of fun and colorful furniture and is also where you’ll find a daily complimentary breakfast of oatmeal and coffee.

The Atomic Hotel has a few rooms of different sizes, perfect for traveling duos or fantastic families. The decor stays true to the retro 1950’s theme with fun furniture, artwork, and light fixtures. Regardless of the room size, you’ll have a desk for working from and a mini-fridge.

Rose River Inn B&B

Cute B&B room at Rose River Inn B&B with fun decoration and queen size bed

Just blocks from Astoria’s historic district, you’ll find the century-old Astoria B&B. The small B&B only offers five guest rooms, so your stay here will be homey and more private than many of the bigger hotels here.

Not to mention the daily home-cooked breakfast, which isn’t only crafted with care by the hosts but will fuel you for the day ahead.

The five guest rooms are decorated with charming and historical artwork and furniture, keeping to the B&B origins. Some rooms even offer a sun porch and soaking tub for extra comfort! The Rose River Inn has plenty of common spaces, including a large living room and an outdoor porch where you can hang out!
