The Ryders Treehouse is truly the treehouse from your dreams as a child. The beautiful two story wooden house has its own private area on 800 acres of ranch land, and amazing leafy views all around.

This Texas treehouse even features a raised wooden pathway winding through the tree branches, with a raised table to sit at inside the tree. Theres also a bonfire pit below, outside the enclosed kitchen and not far from the beautifully designed second-story bedroom. If you find yourself near Baird, this is a wonderful getaway.

HoneyTree Farm has 5 unique rooms – 3 of which are incredibly designed and light-filled treehouses. They are all constructed in their own designs and different character – with multiple levels, tree views, amazing amenities, and their own fun nooks to hide out in.

I have included photos of all 3 treehouses above. Live Oak has a private patio with hammock and downstairs hot tub. Acorn has a cosy patio tub, a helix staircase, and artsy features. Cyprus Valley is one of the most impressive places to rent a treehouse in Texas. They have 5 different treehouses designed by ArtisTree that are all completely unique/different from one another and actually suspended in a tree!

The biggest and coolest treehouse is “The Nest” which has multiple stories (at least 4-5 different levels) all the way up a tree, with crows’ nests and viewing platforms.

Check out the Loki, Juniper, and Willow Treehouses for a couples getaway for two, and the Lofthaven yurt for another unique option. They also have a ranch house with a capacity for 12-15 people (however it is not much of a treehouse). You can only book through their website here.

Location: Lakewood, Texas (Closest city is Austin)

Capacity: 4 (2 Bedroom)

The Treehouse – or should I say, Treehouses – on Lake Travis are beautiful and light-filled Airbnbs perched on a hill above Lake Travis. As you can see from the drone photo above, there are a few circular treehouses for rent, but you can book through a singular Airbnb link below.

It looks like a treehouse from the outside, but from the inside feels like a comfortable circular home with all the amenities you could need and amazing views. This 2 bedroom space is perfect for friends or small families to enjoy some time on the lake. Rent a boat, swim in the pool, or swim in the lake just a short walk from the balcony!

It has a single queen bed, but for family fun can accommodate up to 4 with foldout beds in the wooded kitchen area. This spot is a great nature getaway from San Antonio or Austin, with access to a river, barbecues, a boat ramp, and more.

The Skybox Cabins Amazing Texas Treehouse Rentals on Airbnb are three different treehouses you can rent in the remote area of Glen Rose. They are all at the top of Texas hill country and surrounded by cedars in nature and adorned ith tree branches and fairy lights.

The Nest is an adorable little nook treehouse with an amazing patio and an actual nest that you can sit in. The Birdhouse is actually suspended in the trees with a fairy-lit path and tree-view patio made from branches. If you are on more of a budget, you can stay at The Camp in a glamping cabin for a lot cheaper.

Finch House is a unique Texas treehouse airbnb on stilts. While not ACTUALLY built on a tree, this highly elevated house was built next to a massive leafy tree that gives you the feeling of being perched in a nest.
