After living in Canggu for a few years as a bona-fide brunch FIEND, I have finally compiled the most comprehensive guide to brunch in Canggu and Canggu cafes on the whole internet. I know this because I find it hard to believe that anyone would be as meticulously obsessive about writing a brunch guide over multiple years of cafe hopping, than me. 🙂
But, I take a lot of pride in my brunch guides (and all my guides) and I’m here to recommend to you all the BEST cafes to get brunch and breakfast in the Canggu area (and surrounding suburbs like Berawa and Pererenan). To be honest, it’s freaking impossible for me to narrow Canggu brunch down to 10 or even 20 places (I think this might be the brunch capital of the whole world), so I have broken them down into categories below.
I’ll tell you my top 10 first (like other articles) and then keep going into which places are the best for things like coworking, aesthetics/vibes, simply good food, hidden gems, vegan brunch cafes, and more. So then you can choose one that’s best for what you want.
TL;DR Best Brunch Cafes in Canggu
Because I love you, I’ll make a TL;DR section before we get into it. But it would be great if you could still scroll to the end of the article so Google and my ad network think you liked my content 😛 And to look at photos of each place.
Oh, and about the photos – I take photos of my food a lot of the time (I am that annoying creator friend, haha), but not ALL the time, so some photos are blurry stills from my stories or slightly old! Don’t forget to follow me on IG for unlimited Bali foodie adventures.

Top 10 Best Brunch Cafes in Canggu for Amazing Food + Atmosphere
If you choose any of these, you’ll have a good time.
Artisan

Artisan is a truly elegant day-to-night restaurant with fabulous coffee and brunch options in the day and delicous wine and dinner options at night. It’s great for a delicious, creative, and high-quality meal in an atmosphere where tribal rugs, lots of leafy green plants, and warm, colorful patterns complement a minimalistic brushed concrete interior. The second floor is for coworking and is a lovely place to do so.
Brunch Club

Brunch club is a classic Bali brunch spot that has multiple locations (Legian, Berawa, Pererenan- which is pictured), and a fun atmosphere in each. Think indoor trees, high ceilings, and colorful furniture, and fairy lights. As the name suggests, they do brunch really well – from sweet to savory dishes. Standouts here are the fried chicken benedict and their trademarked fluffy ‘porncakes.’ Thank me later.
Sensorium

Sensorium is more than just a cafe, it’s a true culinary experience. The theme is Australasian fusion, where the amazing chef combines classic Aussie brunch dishes with really creative and unique Asian influences from aroudn the continent. Go here for your Canggu brunch if you want to be surprised and impressed by unique and tasty dishes. It’s true brunch, too, with eggy breakfast dishes and more lunchy options like ramen, quesadillas, and bowls. There’s often a wait, so leave extra time!
Openhouse

Openhouse is a new Canggu restaurant phenomenon that has somehow captured a large chunk of the market by offering large portions and clean/healthy ingredients with a side of house and techno music under a disco ball. I mean, i love it. There’s a location in Seseh and Pererenan (Seseh is better – bigger with a pool and sauna). All their food is great from breakfast to brunch to dinner. People love their build-your-own; I love their steak sandwich, turkish eggs, and brekky burrito. Many don’t know they also have a great cocktail deal for happy hour.
Full House

This is just my faaaaavorite, favorite place ever – it’s an old house with 4-5 bedrooms and a huge open backyard that has been converted to a restaurant, shop, and art gallery that also hosts movie nights. The food here is very curated and amazing, with options sampling from many cuisines. It’s one of the most unique Canggu cafe options that I absolutely adore – it feels like you’re in someone’s incredible, artistically curated home if you like that vibe – but it’s not the most ‘Bali’ feeling place on the list if that’s what you are looking for.
St Ali

St Ali had to make the list because it was one of my favorite cafes when I lived in Melbourne (I also wrote a breakfast and brunch guide to Melbourne). They opened up in central Pererenan with an iconic brick building (upstairs is actually part of a Canggu boutique hotel), vibey cafe, fabulous breakfast and brunch dishes, and incredible coffee straight outta Melbourne (they provide beans and roasts around Bali and Oz). The only downside is that they seem to have imported their prices from Australia, too – haha. My fave dish here is “dirty eggs” (pictures above).
Gather

Gather is a new favorite of mine for brunch in Canggu, and it mostly made the top 10 because of their commitment to using fresh and locally sourced ingredients and knowing what to do with them. I was SOOO IMPRESSED with my brunch here – the ‘Gather Plate’ might be one of my top brunch dishes in Canggu. So yummy. It’s mostly inside and has plugs, so it’s a great Canggu cafe for bringing your laptop and getting work done.
Nude

Nude is one of the original popular Canggu cafes that has had tons of success due to their amazing food. They now have four locations around Canggu – so you’re never too far from one! They are best known for their shakshuka, smoothie bowls, smashed avo, and signature coffees for brunch, and their 2 for 1 burger deals on Wednesdays and 50% off Fridays.
7AM Bakers / 7PM Diners

This is another bakery and brunch cafe where you really can’t go wrong from the morning to the evening. There is a 7AM location in Pererenan and Umalas, both of which are great for chilling, coworking, or even a coffee or dinner date (live music in the evenings in Pererenan on W/F I believe). They have dozens of types of fresh baked goods (croissants, rolls, bread, everything’s delish) and the food is consistently, dependably fabulous. Try the croque monsieur, velvet eggs, sandwiches, or egg muffins.
Revolver

Revolver is yet another fantastic and dependably top-notch cafe with food options from brunch to dinner. They started as a cafe in Seminyak (their coffee is to-die-for) and have 4-5 locations now. My favorite dishes here are Middle Eastern Tomatoes and the breakfast burger. The Canggu location has a cute patio and a back room perfect for coworking. They just opened a fresh new huge cafe in Umalas too that looks stunning. Head to the Canggu location on Saturdays for a good party with espresso martini happy hour.
Vida

Visa is a little different than the other options on this list that have become brunch giants with locations across Bali. Vida is a one-off location with creative superfood options and beautifully presented healthy dishes. They are more famous for their intricately patterned smoothie bowls, but you have to check out their whole menu because they have tons of unique superfood ingredients in their dishes, bowls, coffees, juices, smoothies, tea, and health shots. It’s unfussy and all about the food here.
BAKED.

This bakery and brunch cafe has become so popular that they have four locations across Canggu, Berawa, Padonan, and Pererenan! This place serves high-quality food and baked goods (pastries, bread, etc). Come here for fabulous coffee and baked goods leaning brunch (eggs + toast dishes, Turkish simit dish, bagels, sandwiches). The atmosphere is also cozy – simple, leather, beiges, and wood.
Lusa by Suka, TwoFace Coffee (both by Suka)

Suka has cafes around Bali that are all consistently ahhhhmazing. Lusa by Suka is in Berawa, and TwoFace is in Canggu. The menus are different but similarly crafted in a way that you know it will be good. Both of them have all-day 60k breakfast specials (an amazing breakfast deal in Canggu) and other options too. The food is really good – I remember being SO impressed by my how delicious my chicken and kale bowl was at Lusa when I was trying to be healthy and expected something tasteless. lol. And I loved the parmesan crispy eggs at TwoFace.
Neighborhood Food

Neighborhood has a location in Berawa and Seseh and has some of the best crafted brunches in Canggu – I’d actually say one of the best menus in general, as well as food presentation. They have a lot of creative juices, smoothies, collagen shakes, and even mushroom lattes, and also an impressive wine and cocktail list. Their smoothie bowls are great, their kimchi toastie is popular, their hood benedict is well-loved, and the rest of their brunch is impressive too! The atmosphere is light, airy, and unfussy.
Acme

Acme is a very Canggu brunch spot that will not disappoint. They roast their own beans and sell them around the island, so the coffee here is impeccable, with some fun signature brews and specials. The brunch is amazingly executed and enjoyable – my faves are the chili scrambled eggs and Turkish Eggs (pictured above). I prefer their Canggu location (it’s bigger and you can cowork upstairs).
Most Aesthetic Cafes for Instagrammable Canggu Brunch
I get it – you’re in Bali and want to go somewhere with a-e-s-t-h-e-t-i-c. I mean hey, I love it too. These places are extremely visually pleasing, photogenic, and also have great food.
Penny Lane

Penny Lane is in its own, well… lane when it comes to aesthetic Canggu cafes. The design here is incredible. It’s like you stepped foot into a dream that takes place in an artsy, Ancient Greek garden… with a bit of Middle Eastern influences, too. It’s easily one of the coolest venues in Canggu. This is another solid brunch to dinner spot with amazing food all day (I love their burgers), but they have amazing coffee and brekky offerings too. Check out the smoothie bowls.
Gigi Susu

Gigi Susu has somehow become an instagram sensation, with tourists lining up to take photos out the front of their little roadside bakery next to the restaurant itself. Gigi Susu has maybe some of the best and most diverse bakes goods I have ever seen – I had maybe the biggest and best filled croissant I’ve ever had here. It’s a great quick stop for a mind-blowing pastry, but the food is also delicious and done really well.
Sana by Numa

This is a new cafe made by one of the most popular unique stays in Bali, Numa (located in Sidemen). This is one of the most unique aesthetic cafes in Canggu that really went for the whole bright-white-with-no-straight-lines vibe. The walls and ceilings are all curved, almost as if you’re in a cave, with cute wall cutouts and a light and airy vibe. It’s not all architecture, though – the menu is curated and properly good. From their whole line of different matchas and collagen smoothies and signature coffees to their breakfast and lunch options, to the affirmation cards that come with every drink.
Touche Pererenan

This one is very Bali with a white wall full of wall cutouts and little pots and statues. Very instagrammable and the food is well-loved, especially the pancakes.
Milu By Nook

This is a Berawa classic Canggu brunch spot with a lovely design/atmosphere and rice field view. It’s a breakfast and coffee to dinner and drinks type of place, and works for all times of day and all types of meals too. They’re especially known for smoothie bowls. If you want something very Bali, this is a good choice.
Samm’s Farm

This gorgeous cafe has high ceilings, a tree inside, Indonesian-inspired photography and decor, and a beautiful rooftop too. The atmosphere is gorgeous! The menu is extensive and ‘farm fresh,’ from their coffees to smoothies/bowls to brews.
Buba Tea

This spot is definitely a hidden gem with a unique and gorgeous design. There’s a cherry blossom tree inside and a high ceilinged bookshelf stacked above amphitheater-style seating. They serve the best boba options I have had in Canggu – from fruit tea boba to coffee boba – and they have a gelato tasting flight. So good and VERY photogenic.
Bread Basket

This is another bakery that has a menu incorporating their baked goods… like build your own sandwiches, French toast, and a croissant sando. It has a stunning design too, an almost Middle Eastern feel with an indoor area and an outdoor patio, in central Canggu. This one still feels like a bit of a hidden gem for some reason – it never looks busy, but it deserves to be!
La Brisa

La Brisa is a Canggu tourist destination in many ways. It has one of the most unique atmospheres of any venue in Canggu, with a crazy decked-out ropes/sailing theme that’s really quite impressive. It’s actually a whole venue that hosts Saturday parties, all-day food, and Sunday markets with multiple pools and direct beach access. But I had to mention it as it has an incredible vibe and does offer daily brunch.
Times Beach Warung

This isone of the special Canggu brunch cafe options where you can eat with your toes in the sand! Times Beach Warung has an unfussy beach shack on the sand in Canggu with dozens of bean bags and umbrellas on the sand. Picture coffees and yummy brunch dishes on tiny tables, waves crashing in front of you, and dogs running around. Very Bali! It’s popular for sunset too.
Fold

Fold has a few locations around Bali, a cute green-tiles-mixed-with-b&w-photos vibe, and fabulous baked goods, coffee, and brunch dishes. Their Canggu cafe has a great upstairs area to cowork and watch them bake fresh pastries.
My Happy Place

This Canggu brunch spot is a different kind of aesthetic than the others in this section. It feels like you’re at a friend’s super cute house, and the whole thing feels cozy and inviting. They have a European-based breakfast menu with lots of other dishes available (think different toasts and platters), board games for everyone to play, and so much colorful and interesting art.
Canggu Best Coffee + Signature Brews
This village has amazing coffee. Here are some of my favorites.
Copper Club

Copper Club is a proper hidden gem that is kindof stupiudly hard to get to since this new development started, but VERY WORTH FINDING! They are a Jakarta chain, and have crafted coffee, matcha, and some of the best signature brews and drinks around. They have food too, but I think it’s best just for coffee (and great for coworking too).
Blacklist Coffee Roasters

Blacklist is one off the most prominent coffee roasters in Bali, and they have two locations in Canggu – the actual roastery (which you can visit and do coffee tastings) and their cafe. This place definitely has the most unique and interesting signature coffees and even coffee cocktails in Canggu, they are amazing! Their brunch is also really good, and there’s a cozy indoor space with AC.
SatuSatu, Fine by SatuSatu

Satu Satu is another Canggu cafe that is also a roastery that provides beans around the island. They have their original Canggu cafe, Satu Satu, in Berawa, and another restaurant called Fine by SatuSatu in Babakan. This could easily be in the ‘best brunch top 10’ section if there weren’t already so many – they have high-quality coffee and also a bunch of dishes too, and it’s worth eating here.
BGS

BGS is a very trendy cafe in central Canggu that’s always busy, especially with surfers after their morning session. I stop here so often just to get my favorite thing – a large iced latte with their *home made* almond milk. Yes, I said home-made! It’s kinda pricey, but I forget about it as I cruise down the road with my favorite iced coffee in hand.
Goat Father

This is a little cafe connected to the Avocado Factory with some seriously good coffee and unique signature coffees too. I usually ask for them ‘less sweet’ as they can come very sugary. You can order them while brunching at Avocado Factory.
Other Best Coffee in Canggu
I can’t possibly list them all, but there’s some seriously great coffee in Canggu. If you need more, try Roji, Wide Beans, Choji, Tabo, Little Engine, Bull’s Coffee, LENNY’s, and more.
Best Cafes for Coworking
I love a few hours (and a few coffees) to work in a cute cafe. Here are some that are most suited for laptops.
Miel

Miel is a gorgeous two-story indoor cafe made to feel like you’re sitting in the forest, with indoor plants galore, pebbles on the floor, and a cool temperature that really feels like you;re out in nature – but like, nature with wifi and lots of plugs. Their brunch is very focused on different kinds of eggs/toast/veg combos (all very good) and they have some delicous signature brews and great coffee. There’s tons of space for coworking, don’t forget to check out the upstairs area.
Gimme More

Gimme More is a really underrated Canggu cafe with a cute indoor space with AC perfect for laptop time. They have an impressively extensive menu with yummy soufflé pancakes (try the matcha), lots of different breakfast savory options, including some deals, brunch/lunch options, and a very impressive drinks list, too. Seriously, don’t sleep on the interesting smoothie, matcha, and coffee options.
ZIN Cafe

ZIN cafe was literally made for coworking – it’s both a cafe and a coworking space where you can order food from your chair. Well, it’s also a gym and cycle/pilates studio and Canggu boutique hotel too, actually. It’s everything in one! I’m not AS obsessed with the food as other places on this list but it wins points for convenience and the juices are great.
Amolas

Amolas cafe is another little Canggu cafe that’s really popular for coworking, and it also has a pool out in the back. I love their coffee, especially their bumble coffee, but I would keep it at coffee here and not food.
Puco Rooftop

Puco Rooftop is a rooftop cafe on top of a guesthouse with a proper coworking space attached (it costs extra, but if you need a proper space with a cafe attached, it’s great). It’s always nice and breezy at the open-air restaurant, and their food and drinks are affordable and good.
Gron Espresso Bar + Kitchen

This is a breakfast to dinner spot right on the shortcut in Berawa with amazing brunch options (I actually recommend it much more for brunch and coffee than dinner)! The Gron signature benny is iconic and the coffee is epic; they also have different daily deals on offer all the time.
Unique and Hidden Gem Canggu Cafes
These are unique in some way or a bit undiscovered or off the beaten path.
Avocado Factory

The Avocado Factory is definitely one of the OG best brunch cafes in Canggu (not undiscovered at all), but it’s extra unique because as its name suggests, they use avocado in pretty much every single dish – their egg dishes, benedicts, and even avocado pancakes and smoothies. And, they do it well. I loved the truffle benedict. And you can order goat father coffee here as it’s in the same building.
Sugi

Sugi is a cute newer cafe themed around cassette tapes – they have hundreds of them from older artists. They have a big radio to play them out loud, or personal cassette tape players with headphones to listen in your ears. If that’s not fun enough already, they have great coffee and one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in Canggu.
Archive

Archive is a beautiful cafe tucked away at the back of a half-disused shopping center; I only found it because my laser place is next door, but I think you’d have to know where it is to find it. They have a super creative menu of crafted coffees of different origins, a tiny gift shop with handmade goods, and plenty of tables looking out at a GRASSY PARK! I only know of two in Canggu (the other is at Full House on this list), and this one is super cute, with a little river with lilypads and fairylights. I want to come picnic here at sunset!
Rize Cafe Pererenan

Rize Cafe is unique because it’s an Indian restaurant that also does brunch – and some great fusion dishes, at that! Their eggs benny on a dosa is one of the most well-loved Canggu brunch specialties. And it has a cute vibe in there, too!
TGC Garden Lounge

I only found this place when I was researching for another article in Umalas, and I was so impressed by it. It’s a two-story cafe with floor-to-ceiling windows and a sweeping roof, absolutely surrounded by trees. I have never felt so much like I’m in the middle of a forest in Bali as I did working on the second story of this cafe. They have breakfast and lunch options (I loved the chicken katsu) and yummy coffee, and its a different coworking vibe than a lot of Canggu cafes on this list.
The Usual Cafe at Jungle Padel Seseh

It’s not ‘usual’ that there’s such a good cafe at a padel court, but this is Bali after all! Jungle Padel Seseh has the most beautiful padel courts around, a pool and sauna/ice/jacuzzi recovery area, and a cafe with some of the best coffee I’ve had in Canggu… and the food is amazing, too. So if you want to combine your canggu brunch with some padel games, this is your spot.
Sinamon

This place is truly SINful with the best cinnamon rolls I think I have ever had – truly. You can get original, cream cheese, or now I think about 10+ flavors of cinnamon rolls, and they are the fluffiest most delicious and soft things in the world. My kryptonite late at night when I’m craving sweets.
Most OG/Classic Canggu Cafes for Beachy Bali Vibes:
These are some of the longest-running, OG Canggu cafes that are well-loved for a reason. Some are on the beach, and some are simple and beachy and feel like Bali 10 years ago with unfussy vibes and proper good food.
Crate Cafe

Crate Cafe is one of the first cafes I ever visited in Bali back in 2018. It’s now in a different location but with the same industrial vibe, big shared tables, open-air design, and same menu. It’s super popular and also has a small shop and occasional art on display. It’s a very Bali vibe. Try their massive ( and super instagrammable) shakes/smoothies – the ones that pile high over the mason jar with fruits and drip down the sides! People also love their ‘chikky bowl’ and ‘the barber’ french toast.
Canteen

This is a classic, locally-run Canggu cafe with a retro-rustic surfy design with lots of surfboards on the walls and a central location. It’s got clean, yummy, and healthy food and good coffee.
Rise & Shine

Rise & Shine has a bigger location in Umalas and a smaller one in Canggu, both with epic menus that seem kind of California-brunch focused (or maybe that’s just the pulled pork and brekky burritos). It’s unfussy, cute, light and airy, friendly, and a classic Canggu favorite.
Barboa

Barboa is a great Canggu brunch cafe. It’s very Bali and open air, sometimes with live music or dj’s, with a creative menu of well-presented dishes. I love the burrata avo toast and truffle eggs benny.
Copenhagen

This is one of the most famous and well-known Canggu brunch spots that often even has a line out front in one of its locations! Copenhagen, as its name suggests, focuses on Danish and Nordic/Scandinavian-style brunch and bakery items with amazing healthy ingredients – even some that Danish friends said are incredible! The coffee’s amazing too.
Milk and Madu

Milk and Madu is a tried-and-tested favorite Canggu Cafe that has been around a long time, and even expanded to different parts of Bali because it was so well-loved. They are all leafy and open-air but I like their Beach Road location the best. The food is consistently good from brunch to dinner, and they have soe of the best weekly deals (hello, 2×1 pizza twice a week) and happy hours in Canggu.
Matcha Cafe

This one has been around for ages. It’s a small outdoor cafe with a beachy and relaxed, surfy vibe. It has great daily deals, great bowls, and of course, great options for Matcha.
Doppio Cafe

This is a popular cafe for 60k brunch deals. Every day they have plenty of brunch dish options available for only 60k! They have great coffee and a cute interior in central Canggu.
The Common

This is a well-loved, air conditioned cafe on Batu Bolong with great all-day brunch options as well as taco and margarita deals, bowls, and mexican-inspired dishes too. For brunch? Check out the chorizo brekky tacos!
Ruko Cafe
Ruko Cafe may be a tiny and quaint little Berawa cafe, but it truly pulls its weight in food greatness. They have breakfast and lunch options and plenty of different kinds of healthy bowls, smoothie bowls, breakfast options and enough sandwiches and wraps to try for weeks. As far as the space goes, there are a few inside tables with air conditioning, and a few more outside in the open air. It might not be a place to park up ALL day with your laptop as space is limited (unless its not busy), but its definitely a nice vibe for a meal.
Best Canggu Breakfast Sandwiches
I love breakfast sandwiches, so I had to add this section.
Deli Canggu

Deli Canggu has some of the best sandwiches in Canggu, bar none. While their beef pastrami is the most popular, they have two different breakfast sandwiches that are EPIC and hit every time – their English muffin and egg sando (be sure to add the sausage) and their breakfast bagel. Curly fries are amazing here and make sure to try their homemade hot sauce. Oh, and their sunrise brew signature coffee is one of my favorites.
Sandwichopedia

This is may be my favorite food establishment in Canggu because of the sheer diversity of absolutely AMAZING sandwiches that are all so creative and so different from each other. Go (or order on grab/gojek) before 11 to select from around 6-10 brekky sando options. Or go anytie and experiene the insane range they offer here. I love the limoncanic coffee tonic with lemon.
Bagel it!

This is an iconic establishment that has perfected bagel sandwiches. It’s tiny, so it’s perfect for delivery, or you can sit in and use their wifi (but I order it on delivery ALL the time). The BLT deluxe is absolutely unreal, but I also love the truffle chicken and all of their cream cheeses. Coffee’s good too.
Mr Egg

This is my hangover go-to (when I don’t order from the two above). This is more of a place to order delivery from, but their brick and mortar cafe in Umalas is cute too. I always get the sausage egg and cheese muffin.. and sometimes the tater tots depending one hangover severity, haha.
Best Vegetarian/Vegan Canggu Breakfast and Brunch
This may not be Ubud, but there are still some great vegan brunch options in Canggu.
Kynd

Kynd is the all-pink cafe that you probably see on instagram with amazing looking food, the creamiest strawberry matchas ever, and your name written in a smoothie bowl (which is so fun and so Bali).
Alchemy

This Ubud favorite has finally opened in Canggu, and it’s one of the best vegan cafes in Bali for sure. This is not just a simple vegan cafe, it’s a fully creative vegan restaurant with tons of totally unexpected and delicious dishes you’d never guess were vegan – some made to taste like their non-vegan counterpart. They have all kinds of superfoods, signature drinks, home baked vegan sweets, and so much more. It’s in a bamboo structure too and the atmosphere is gorgeous and very Bali.
I Am Vegan Babe

This totally plant-based restaurant has great breakfast to dinner vegan options that are super creative delicious, and healthy! This place has one of the most extensive and impressive vegan menus around (for brunch I love the bagel and ‘cream cheese’ and ‘the mexican one). They also have great desserts and really just all-around food – people love their vegan burger.
Shady Shack

Shady Shack has a lovely beachy, and breezy atmosphere with yet another very extensive and impressive healthy vegan and vegetarian menu. Dishes here are nutritious and colorful! They, too, are open until dinner time and have lots of creative options and desserts.
Okay, wow – I just listed out over 50 cafes for brunch in Canggu, and the crazy thing is… they are all worth knowing about!! I hope the categories, descriptions, and photos have helped you decide on your perfect bruch experiences to have here! Bon appetit!
