Canggu Yoga Guide: My 12 Favorite Studios/Shalas + Gyms

I’ve lived in Canggu for over 3 years of the last 6, and I’ve definitely tried out my fair share of Canggu yoga. In fact, I explored about half of the studios on this list specifically for this article so I could give a well-rounded opinion of all the yoga studios in Canggu – the most popular, the cutest, the best for retreats or YTT, or the best for drop-in classes, too.

So below I’ll share all the Canggu yoga studios (and also gyms with yoga) that you need to know about, what each one is best for, and how to book classes there.

Yara Wellness: For the most beautiful nature immersion on this list, retreats, and ayurveda

yara wellness yoga studio in canggu on a river nature

Yara is located a bit farther out of Canggu in Tabanan, but oh my goodness, is it worth the 15-20 minute drive. Yara Wellness is actually a 6-7 story property overlooking a river canyon – the most beautiful I have seen in Canggu (it honestly feels like Ubud). It functions as an Ayurveda resort with 7 or 8 completely unique rooms, a doctor from India, a spa, an Ayurvedic restaurant, and of course, a yoga and classes space.

I think I nearly had tears in my eyes the first time I arrived in the yoga space here. It’s a large, open-air shala facing directly into the jungle over a fast-flowing river you can just see wind around a bend below. You really feel fully immersed in nature here and the energy is really something else.

They have 2-3 classes per day here usually including yoga, breathwork, and meditation. Their main classes at the time of writing this are power yoga, slow vinyasa, and yin. I would 100% recommend booking a room here for a while for a full wellness/nature reset and/or Ayurveda retreat.

How to Book: Book directly on WhatsApp: +6285190227692. They usually have some classes on Classpass, but booking directly always helps the studio more. Cost for 1 class is 160k.

Chandra: for peaceful yoga between a river and rice field, retreats

Chandra yoga canggu in nature on the river and rice fields

Chandra Yoga is my next favorite yoga studio in Canggu for feeling immersed in nature (and just in general). You wouldn’t know it was here while driving down a back road in Pererenan then following a path past the pool, across a bridge over a beautiful river, and along a stone path through the grass to arrive at the yoga shalas! Chandra has a main building where you can book rooms if you want to do a yoga retreat here and take part in all their amazing classes.

At the time of writing, they offer 7 classes per day here across two studios. Classes include the likes of vinyasa, flow (power, slow, morning, sunset), hatha, yin, restorative, and meditation/sound healing.

How to book: All their classes are on ClassPass, or you can book drop-in from 165k or packages from there on their website too.

Nirvana: Beautiful yoga shala as part of super-gym

nirvana yoga shala canggu

Nirvana is one of Canggu’s iconic huge super-gyms with multiple gym and class areas, multiple recovery areas, and two pools. I’ve been a Nirvana member for over a year and a half, and I adore this place! They opened a new yoga shala in late 2025 and it’s stunning – it’s one of the best places to do yoga in Canggu for sure.

The yoga shala is tucked away at the back of the property, past the gym and pool areas, surrounded by ride field and nature. It’s such a peaceful area! They offer power and vinyasa yoga, yin, breathwork, meditation, and sound healing here.

How to book: You must be a Nirvana member to book here! Grab a day pass (or 3, 7, 14, 28 day passes) to have access to ALL the amazing facilities, 10+ classes per day, and recovery. It’s worth it (I’m obsessed)! They have an app where you can book and view everything.

Serenity Eco Guesthouse: Canggu staple yoga and restaurant/ guesthouse/hostel by the beach with lots of classes

Serenity Eco Guesthouse yoga canggu

Serenity is another of Canggu’s staple yoga centers that has stood the test of time… since 2010, to be exact. It’s not far from the beach and offers private and hostel rooms, a pool, a vegan restaurant, a massage spa, and multiple yoga shalas overlooking the property. And there’s a permaculture garden! The property itself is beachy, quaint, and slightly rustic with vibrant colors everywhere.

There are roughly between 5-8 classes per day, and there’s a huge and creative range of classes here… such as kundalini, aerial yoga, chakra flow, 5 elements yin, hatha, vinyasa, creative vinyasa, and other classes like myofascial release, mobility, sound healing, and more.

How to Book: Serenity has most – not always all – classes bookable on ClassPass. Their prices start at 139k for drop-in, and they have different ‘wellness passes’ for 1, 7, and 30 days that offer access to their facilities, including unlimited yoga, morning all-you-can-eat buffet, WiFi, a welcome drink, and pool access (crazy deal, maybe the best deal around for yoga in Canggu outside of big gyms!) Check their instagram for current schedules.

Udara: totally other-worldly, complete wellness center on the beach in Seseh, a destination in itself

udara yoga rooftop canggu

Udara is one of my favrite places on the island… enough said. This place is weird, wild, and wonderful, and has some of the most unique fusions of art and architecture I’ve ever seen. Think, rooms made to look like caves with mist floating around, a sauna and ice bath area made to look like natural rock pools under a huge turtle sculpture, insane ocean views with aerial silks, and more.

This place is worth seeing just for the sake of it, but they offer one of the largest ranges of wellness and spirituality classes and workshops around. They have multiple different underground sound healing spaces, lots of different workshops, women’s/men’s circles, breathwork of many kinds, and classes, as well as yoga in a few different spaces (yoga nidra, vinyasa, yin, gentle flow, water yoga, and this might be the best pkaces ever for aerial yoga).

They also have the amazing ‘Sunday Festival’ which is tons of fun – for 350k you get a morning class (yoga/breathwork/fascia release), ecstatic dance, sound healing, and live music.

How to Book: For Udara, you must book on their website. Here’s their yoga schedule, but I recommend booking another interesting session that resonates with you too so you can se more spaces at thus awesome venue! Classes start at 170k.

Samadi: bright yoga and workshop space connected to health food market

Samadi is a lot of things – a yoga shala and workshop space, a supermarket, a restaurant, a market, an event space. Their supermarket is stocked with great health foods and is wonderful to browse through, and their shala at the back lets in lovely natural light surrounded by gardens.

They typically have about 6 yoga classes per day, including vinyasa, hatha, ashtanga, yin, restorative, and other interesting classes like inversions, handstands, Himalayan singing bowls, and sound healing.

How to book: You can book (and see what else they have going on) on their website; classes start at 155k and they offer packages too. When I went, I just paid for the class at the front in the restaurant.

The Path: Cute studios in central Pererenan great for recovery, classes, or YTT

The Path yoga canggu pererenan

The Path yoga center is a cute and spacious yoga studio tucked inside central Pererenan. This studio is the one with the most daily classes in Canggu, with about 7 classes each day, ranging from meditation to power flow, yin, and sunrise flow.

They also do lots of diffferent kinds of teacher trainings here, from 200 hour YTT to trainings for sund healing, yin, breakthwork, and more. It’s a great place to come to study one of these.

There are 2 spacious shalas here, surrounded by plants – one indoor and one open-air. They also have a very cute recovery area with sauna and ice baths, which you can access if you’re a member, or you can spend 3 extra credits on ClassPass.

How to Book: The easiest way is on ClassPass, or check their website for trainings and packages (including 1 months unlimited for 2.2m).

B Bliss Studio (Prev. Empowered Yoga Studio): For a central Canggu rooftop session after coworking

B Bliss Studio yoga shala canggu

B Bliss yoga studio is on the rooftop of the popular Canggu coworking spot, B Work. It’s on Jalan Nelayan, not too far from the beach, close to everything in central Canggu… but this studio is still really able to channel the Bali vibes with its sweeping bamboo architecture and high ceilings overlooking the village.

Depending on the day, they have different unique class options like dynamic flow, hatha, flow to alignment, restorative yoga, and other kinds of workshops, too/

How to Book: I have always booked this on ClassPass, and they recommend booking drop-ins on CP, but you can also purchase class packages directly. 1 class cost is 165k and they have better deals for more classes.

Adda Yoga: Brezy & rustic rooftop studio above a coworking space

Adda Yoga is located on a rooftop in Batu Bolong. It’s located in very central Canggu, but is able to cultivate a very peaceful space on its curved rooftop despite the busy road around it.

They offer 5 classes a day here; the class times are always the same, but the classes themselves vary between beginner yoga, hatha, power, kundalini, meditation, and pranayama breathwork classes, and gentle flow.

I’m not obsessed with the layout here as the building is a strange shape, but just try to arrive early so you don’t have to place your mat around the bend. I’ve always felt a lovely sense of peace in the breeze up here, though. And the coworking space downstairs is FREE, and they have some of the best deals and affordable food in the cafe. So overall, this (and because it’s 2 minutes from my house) makes Adda yoga one of my favorite spots for yoga in Canggu!

How to book: book on ClassPass, or tourist drop-in rate is 160k per class. They have some great rates for 1 week and 1 month unlimited.

Joga Yoga: cute studio space in a quiet corner of Canggu with trainings available

Joga Yoga canggu ytt shala

Joga yoga is a quaint, friendly little studio tucked away down a tiny gang (street) in central Canggu that has been here over 19 years. They have a grassy area with a fire pit, a rice field view, a sauna/cold plunge, and a little cafe all in its space, which has teal blue branding and accents (my favorite color).

This is a popular destination for yoga teacher trainings (YTT) in Canggu. I think they have a house people can stay in for trainings, and have been offering successful trainings for a long time.

They offer classes in different types of yoga, such as traditional hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa flow, and yin. There are 3-4 classes per day, with the option to also book sauna/cold plunge sessions.

How to book: all their classes are on ClassPass, and some of the cheapest, often at only 2-3 credits, or they have packages starting from 140k drop-in.

Ubuntu: Eco retreat and yoga space surrounded by nature

ubuntu yoga shala canggu

I was surprised when I visited Ubuntu because I had driven through the area so many times without realizing it was there on a huge stretch of land by a river. It’s a restaurant and boutique, eco retreat and pool area, and yoga retreat at the same time. Their premier offering is yoga retreats, where you stay on-site and attend as many classes as you like, or they also have mrie structures retreats with certain instructors or certain types of yoga.

They offer yoga retreats and classes as well as class packages. They have an organic cafe on site, their own eco rooms, a permaculture garden, and more! There are two yoga shalas surrunded by nature, and classes in mysore, ashtanga, yin, hatha, vinyasa, and more.

How to Book: Book it on Classpass or book a stay here and get all yoga included. It’s a lovely spot to feel immersed in nature in Bali – it feels like a retreat.

Omni: Rooftop yoga shala at another super-gym focused on well-rounded health

omni yoga shala gym rooftop studio

Omni is one of the newer players in the Bali super-gym world. It’s a big, 3-story brutalist gym building in Seseh that offers all the big gym things – pool, recovery, classes, big gym areas, chill areas with pool chairs/cabanas, a restaurant with healthy options – but Omni’s more unique angle is that for longer memberships, they offer doctor consultations and blood work to measure certain health markers. THey also have a coworking space that costs extra, but has reservable desks and meeting rooms.

Yoga at Omni takes place in their rooftop area, which is lined by plants and overlooks all the Seshe (and Bali). You can see the ocean from here and al lthe way over to Uluwatu on a clear day – or watch storms roll in on a rainy one (both are equally magical). There’s something about doing yoga on a breezy rooftop that feels amazing.

They don’t have yoga every single day, however. They offer a variety of classes in the space, including mobility, pilates, and vinyasa/hatha/yin on different days.

How to Book: You must be an Omni member to take classes here! Check the schedule on Instagram, and you can also find their WhatsApp and download their app from there.
